I am thinking of switching from simpler modules that we've been using for years (comment_notify) to message_notify. Our site has a fully functional message configuration, but we use it inside the site itself, not for notifications. So the switch shouldn't be painful.
However, one long-standing request by our visitors is that they receive only one notification of new comments per node until they visit the site again.
So, if 10 comments have been made to a node, then they only get the first notification and not 10 of them.
Is such a thing possible with message+message_notify?
I could find any related information in the docs.
The fact that message_notify sends notifications when messages are being generated allows me to think that all messages will be sent. But I thought it is better to ask before making any assumptions.
Thanks ;)
