confusing wording #3
Comments
The problem is a little bit that the specific phrase would be different for each line, or at least I've not been able to think of a good wording that makes complete sense. As you might know, you can click the little cog at the top left of kinklist to change the wording/categories/kinks etc, if you can suggest a specific format in there and it is less confusing, I will definitely happily use it. I agree it's confusing; it's just the least confusing (workable) option I've seen so far. |
oh wow, thanks for the quick reply! ( =^ω^)
i actually hadn't tried the cog yet, that is really cool!
oh yeah, i get you ✩°。⋆⸜(∗ ॑꒳ ॑∗ )⸝
okay! i will discuss this with some friends in my bdsm discord server and try to come up with clear wording. is it technically possible to use a different phrase for each question? (✿ ' ᴗ ' )۶۶💞 thanks for being open to suggestions ٩(✿ ' ᴗ ' )۶ (i hope my kaomoji faces aren't annoying haha) |
I think "Done to Self/Done to Partner" makes more sense than "Giving/Receiving" because it is explicit in wording, and a lot about kink tends to be about making things explicit. I'm not sure if there is a single word for each of those, but that's what I have used when using the gear to edit the list. |

i was really confused about the "giving"/"receiving" questions. it was not clear to me at all who played what position in each activity. several people i talked to said similarly... actually every person i brought this up to said they agreed. i think it would be much clearer if you worded these questions as e.g. "(giving) blowjob (their penis)" or something like that.
