This repository has been archived by the owner on Oct 27, 2021. It is now read-only.
Currently it is only stated as an "IF" you want to change directories, the option is there. With most OS defaults, specifically *nix variants the /tmp directory is periodically cleaned out resulting in data loss if the out of the box defaults are used. See the man page for tmpfiles.d
Expected Content
In the Archiving Setup documentation there should be clarification in the "backend" section that it is HEAVILY recommended and in fact expected to change the default directory of /tmp otherwise data loss will occur if archiving is enabled.
