According to the OpenLCA 2 manual, I should be able to right click on a process in the model graph of a product system and select "Search providers for" if I want to build provider links manually.
However, this option does not exist in my context window. I have tried on both a Linux and a Windows distribution of OpenLCA 2.2.0
I cannot find any documentation anywhere that this option has been removed. Nor have I noticed anyone else reporting this problem.
It is because you selected the process and you see the context menu for the process. To see the option for selecting providers for a flow, you need to select & right-click on that flow.
Thank you for this response. Indeed, I had a colleague show me that he could get the option in the context menu by selecting "Granulates" (in my second image above) via right-clicking on it (no need to left-click).
Issue:
I cannot seem to select Granulates the way my colleague did. It just won't select no matter how much I left or right click it. I am using Linux on a VM, my colleague is using windows (native). I have also noticed that I CAN right click "Granulates" on my windows installation of OpenLCA 2.2.0 and I DO see the "search providers for" option. It seems like either the Linux version does not allow for right-clicking a flow in the graph or the VM is getting in the way. I have also noticed that I cannot open the process from the graph by double clicking it and I cannot actually left-click the "granulates" flow at all (it just won't select). These behaviours may be indicative of something larger happening.
I have not noticed any other issues with any other software in my VM. This behaviour only seems to occur on OpenLCA.
When I have nothing selected:
When I have the "PC Bottle Filling" process selected
As you can see here, the first context menu seems to be the same as if I right-clicked in the open space within the model graph area, and the second context menu seems to be as if I am right-clicking on the "PC Bottle Filling" process as that is what is selected.
