Discussion for the core team about looking for local contributors

Some channels to consider:

  • Switchboard ASK (or OFFER is there is a budget) includes ET Facebook and Twitter
  • Eugene Women in Tech
  • RWIT
  • Bitforest FB Group
  • Eug Web Devs
  • EugeneTech slack #open-source channel
  • EugeneTech slack #open-data channel
  • EugeneTech slack #open-eugene-projects channel
  • LCC CS teachers
  • UO CS teachers

most of these channels are open, but some would be direct contacts. mention @nohorse for direct contacts if needed.

Do we have someone that wants to take up ownership of this? I'm attaching 2 SP to the task of reaching out to these groups and trying to get them involved.

The 2 SP is contingent on reaching out to all groups, interacting with at least 50%, and reporting back the level of engagement, requests, and commitments from the groups.
