Mic button on the main layout?

Some days I have coordination problems, and have to use Google's speech to text. However, it seems like the mic icon can only be placed on the secondary toolbar (sorry, I don't know the name), and when I need to dictate, that button is small indeed!

Would it be possible to add the mic button as an overload on one of the keys, or maybe in the first symbol menu, at least? That is a much larger button!

I've created a file especially for you, where the microphone icon appears first when the comma key is long pressed.

All you need to do is copy the contents of this file into the functional key layout in the advanced settings.

Does it suit you?

It's also possible to show this key on the main keyboard view.
Do you use the QWERTY keyboard?

Oh, wow, that's really thoughtful! Yes, I do use QWERTY, and the comma menu is perfect!

I was having some trouble finding the menu at first, until I realized it was installing from the IzzyOnDroid repo (they have Fennic updates faster). Updating to the actual F-Droid version solved that :)

What I've done for something similar is to go to "Toolbar" > "Select pinned toolbar keys" and selected "Voice input" (in my case to open the Sayboard app ...unsure if it would similarly open Google Voice Typing, which I've disabled).
