How to add no-break space to the layout?

I know there is some options for customizing symbol layouts, but I just couldn't add the character "no-break space" (u+00A0). Pasting the character into a desired place doesn't work, apparently it can't tell the difference between the no-break space and a normal one. So how can we add it to the custom layouts?

I tested using the letter a as an example.

By indicating this code in your layout:

{ "label": "a|!code/160" },

It seems to work. Can you please test and give feedback?

To be honest, I asked my question wrong. I wanted to add the character to the custom symbol layout which apparently was not written as a normal json code. But your answer helped me realize that HeliBoard supports custom layouts. That changed my life forever!

Anyway, I tried your code in "functional keys" and worked. I also had the character in my clipboard and I pasted it in json. It worked fine, too.

How did I find the solution:

• Go to Unicodeplus.com;
• Search for your U+00A0 code;
• Choose the HTML (decimal) value;
• Remove the &# and ; characters
• Enjoy 😉
