Thanks for your efforts! I could manage to make symbols keyboard for myself based on your symbols example and I could not manage one issue. If number row is turned off once you switch to symbols the first row of symbols is always changed to numbers. More symbols is ok. Is it possible to switch directly to more symbols (without pressing switch button twice, I removed that button anyway)? Or maybe remove number row from symbols somehow? |

It's impossible to remove the number row from the symbol view. If I remember correctly, it allows the keyboard view and symbol view to have the same height.

Amazing work. Thank you very much for this. I understand the code better now thanks to you and now I know that what I want to do is perfectly possible. I'm currently trying to change my personal keyboard editing the characters, popup symbols and so on. I think I understand the tutorial and the code is fine (simple TXT or JSON), but I have no idea how to load every file for every keyboard (Keyboard, Symbols, More Symbols, Numpad). I just want to change a few symbols to another ones. I edit the "customize symbols and number layouts" sections, but only a few symbols appeared. Maybe popup priority? I don't understand this. It feels like I made the difficult part but I'm missing something. Please, help. |

Hi, again!! I tried to change functional keys using your code but a wild "too many popup keys on key" message is shown. I coded 16 popup keys for the "period" action key, so I remove a few and it works. The problem is the default popup keys, because these are shown with the ones I coded. Any way to remove them to have all the available slots for me? Your emoji popup on space key is a wonderful idea and works great. I choose my 20 favorite and look gorgeous. Thanks a lot in advance. |

My modded setup of yours. How I actually expected and tried to do. Functional layouts have two rows, from bottom 1st one with space, 2nd one with shift. I expected two empty rows for qwerty and asdfg with special 5th row would make it, so language layouts could be standart 3 rows layouts. But it did not worked. Also an issue I mentioned above seems working with my ^ button Thanks again for great article! It helped s lot! |

I now test 5 rows to fit everything without additional layouts at all. Works great. And if I could make those two rows height smaller.. |

Wow, looks great 😯 Some time ago I also did something like this with emojis, but using the emoji key. You have more experience in editing layouts, so maybe you know how to do these two things?

This is impossible as far as I know. The only workaround I know of is to replace in the layout of the function keys, this: { "$": "keyboard_state_selector", "emojiKeyEnabled": { "$": "keyboard_state_selector", "alphabet": { "label": "emoji" }}},with: { "$": "variation_selector",
"default": { "label": "emoji", "type": "function", "width": 0.1 },
