Tab/Esc/Arrow/Ctrl keys?

Hi all

Is there a way to enter Tab and other keycodes? Some tools use tab to indent lists, that would be quite useful. The other codes could be handy for console users.

Currrently there is no way as far as I know.
Could you open a feature request about this? I won't have time to implement it anytime soon, but in the discussion section it's more likely to get forgotten.
