Swiss Samsung user here. I am typing in 3 languages: English, German (without ß) and Schwiizertütsch (Swiss German, dialect basically). There is of course no dictionary that covers the latter, so I would need to train the keyboard. My setup looks like this: In the Text correction settings, I find two types of dictionaries:

Personal dictionary vs user dictionary is used inconsistently. I guess it would be best to rename Add words to user dictionary to use personal. Words are only added to user dictionary if they already are in typed history. This is a safeguard against adding every typo to the dictionary.
I hope how to add clear from above. Btw you can check whether https://www.wortschatz.uni-leipzig.de/de/download/Swiss%20German is the right variation. Creating dictionaries from the available sentence files is rather simple (though the dictionary might have some issues due to lack of a spell checker). |

Should be working in the next version.
Adding words to personal dictionary was completely broken when not using multilingual typing, so "Could you try disabling multilingual typing for now" was advice that made it go from slow learning to not working at all.
