But this leads the normal user to constantly worry and complain about how the latest version is too old, even if it's stable and don't needs updates... |

I think using release dates is not useful for this app. This is more useful with a regular releases, e.g. for Ubuntu. My current idea would be using just two numbers like 4.12. For opening an issue this is enough. |

I see from the latest release that @Helium314 is planning to formally release the app with a new name on F-droid. I propose we also change the versioning number from the standard x.y.z (e.g. 1.0.0, 2.12.3, etc.) to a yyyy.mm.x, where yyyy is the year, mm is the month number, and x is amount of release with the yyyy.mm (e.g. 2023.12.13, 2024.1.0, etc.). This helps users understand how old their version of the app is and is definitely helpful for others when an issue is opened.
