Trying to achieve 2 things in my HeliBoard customization adventure

1. Is it possible to also define which keys are available in the digits row? I would be fine with smaller buttons, but with an additional one for an extra character I often use.

2. Is there a way to customize the color of a button so that it looks like a function button (but it doesn't change its actual key(s))?

Currently not. The number row is fixed, but can be adjusted in the language files (though not by the user, unless you compile the app yourself)

Is there a way to customize the color of a button?

No, only for categories.
You might be able to achieves this by mis-using the coming possibility of customizing the functional keys, but then the colored keys will also be there in the symbol layout.

Instead of adjusting the number row, you could add another row to the keyboard and increase the keyboard height scale. But that would need to be done for each layout you use, so might be inconvenient.

Now, I'm trying to:
• get all the secondary key functions on the main keys (I mean: long tap → I get all the secondary keys specified in Settings-Advanced-[Symbols and numbers layout customization]-Symbols); see my mockup:

• only have the main keyboard stuff and the numpad directly from the 'other keys' button, nothing else (no secondary/tertiary keys).

Are those things possible?
