How to contribute/develop AUTOCORRECT behavior

Does the code in this repo control the behavior of autocorrect suggestions, or does that functionality come from some 3rd-party source?

(Context: I would like to help improve how autocorrect suggestions are generated while typing/editing characters in the middle of a word)

I'm not a developer but I've done some research into the dictionary's word ranking and how that affects text prediction, results posted here, and I did a comparison between HeliBoard vs Gboard as Gboard has made some clear changes in this area recently that show great improvement in certain ways but there are always downsides. Just thought you might find it interesting as it's along those lines — significant improvements in text prediction can be achieved without even touching the text prediction code, I'm sure, from what the current version of Gboard is doing, that massive improvements can be made with some code alterations.

Autocorrect is mostly (possibly almost exclusively) done in Suggest.java, but it works in combination with the score for a suggestion, which is provided by the native library (the one you can switch with the glide typing library).
