is it possible that on long push, you would get the symbol corrosponding to the shift number symbol on a standard qwerty keyboard?

like long press 1 would be ! or have the order of the symbols in the "?123" area be in that order, like with the standard samsung keyboard?

Sure. In the custom layout, if you use the simple one, just type something like

maybe not exactly, my laptop keyboard isn't en-US, but that's the syntax.

The JSON version of the layout looks like

The funniest way is to turn off the digits row from the settings, then creating your own keyboard with all the popups you want (you need to prioritize them through the settings).

First create a copy of the layout you are currently using: Settings → languages and layout → tap on the language itself → tap on + → 'Add a custom layout', then choose the one you want to clone as a base (choose QWERTY, I guess). Give it a name, then tap on it and since the standard QWERTY does not have the digits number, just add

1 ! 2 " 3 £ 4 $ 5 % 6 & 7 / 8 ( 9 ) 0 =

At the beginning of the text, and separate it from the first letters by a double new line.

Save and go try your brand new layout. Sounds very much more complicated than it is.

Warning: could be addictive. If you're a customization nerd like me, you might end up customizing very hard LOL

so, that was fun, I've gotten the main keys to do exactly what I wanted, just need to edit the numbers and symbols key areas, but I did have a question

i saw in other threads that it was possibld to create a tab / indent key?

I think you can only do that with the JSON version of the layout configuration: just create a button with { "label": "tab" }

I'm late, but: A json key with only a label is the same as a simple layout key, i.e. in a simple layout file you would just need to write tab.
(see here for labels that are interpreted as special keys)

Btw in the next release you will be able to customize the number row, which (depending on what exactly you want) may be a simpler solution.
