Description
When using the spacebar swipe gesture on the keyboard to move the cursor, it is expected to move character by character. However, on Firefox, specifically in the Google homepage search box, the cursor moves by word instead of by character. Additionally, the cursor movement feels laggy compared to other input fields.
This issue may occur in other places as well, but the Firefox Google search box is the only place where I remember experiencing it.

To Reproduce

  1. Set Move cursor to Horizontal spacebar swipe gesture.
  2. Open Firefox Browser and go to google.com
  3. Tap on the search box and write some words.
  4. Now try to use the spacebar swipe gesture to move the cursor.

Expected Behavior
The cursor should move smoothly, character by character, when using the spacebar swipe gesture.

Actual Behavior

  • The cursor moves by word instead of by character.
  • The movement feels laggy compared to other text fields.
