Weird characters and odd time formatting

The time formatting is definitely messed up, and I think I'm going to remove the ETA since multi-threading+the default ETA implementation from progress does not provide any meaningful information.

I was able to reproduce the strange characters on the left side of the progress bar using both Windows Command Prompt (10.0.19043.1083) and Windows PowerShell (5.1.19041r1023). I had not seen this issue before because I was developing in the Windows Subsystem, where these characters are not present.

I'm not sure what the cause is currently, will do some more looking at a later time.
