Describe the bug/issue

The CI for the R inference package doesn't run when the the one for gempyor does. See #404 for an example. Maybe has something to do with the merge into dev rather than main? Regardless a bit disruptive.

To Reproduce

Edit files in gempyor in a PR, in this case into dev, but that may or may not be related.
