NAVIGATOR (main tree) frame on the left side with a header section containing three icon buttons to switch between the three main trees (model, simulation, analysis). The buttons should look like and behave like radio buttons:
One and exactly one of them is active at any given time. It is clearly visible which button is selected.
The middle button should be centered horizontally,
all buttons should be centered vertically, the left and right button should have identical distance to the middle button.
The minimum width of the Navigator is then given by the three button widths plus their separation distances plus some minimum margin on the left and right side.
CONTROLS & PROPERTIES frames next to the Navigator.
CONTENT frame on the right side.
A TOOLBAR frame on top of the Content frame. (It is unclear to me if this should extent all the way to the Navigator header, or if the section above the Controls frame should contain toolbar items pertaining to the controls only, the full extension option was discussed)
INFO-BAR below the Content frame, collapsed by default. The Info-bar can be uncollapsed into a frame of about a fourth or a third of the content frame height, this INFO-FRAME will then contain the Log and Console frames side-by-side.
Horizontal divider (not movable) below the OSPARC UI part to visually clearly divide to the Sim4Life UI. Could be just grey or with the Sim4Life accent color.
