We will be using Github Discussions to communicate. The motivation here being that since we are working with code and using Github for hosting the codebase, it's easiest to put it all in one place.

@bklynjones am here to act as the Product Manager. Helping everyone break ideas down into manageable atomic tasks. When one has a clearly defined objective, it is easier to execute (and ask for help if one gets blocked).

As a First Step, I would like each of you to both state your role in the project, how you aim to contribute, and share your initial tasks as you see them. There is no wrong answers here. Our goal is to see where we are all starting and get on the same page.
From here we will begin to organize the work to be done into a backlog (a list of todos).

I'm @RiosITP, I'm here to provide context and inspiration for escape room/puzzle design. I'm meeting with the student workers weekly to check in on progress and provide any guidance or help with code or fabrication. When we met last week we drew inspiration from this kind of project. I think one way to frame some of the initial experiments just to get comfortable prototyping with the available tools is to design and implement one module in an escape/puzzle box. I'm excited to see what comes out of this!

My name is Mingren, and I'm so excited to join the team as a student worker. While meeting with @RiosITP earlier today, I've explored potential ways to establish connections (or build a "bridge") between the Arduino (physical computing) and the p5 web editor. While we are still brainstorming potential ideas for the escape/puzzle design, we will be using the Chrome browser (p5.js) with the Arduino Nano 33 IoT microcontroller as a starting point to test out some of our ideas along the way. As we get more comfortable and have a more solid (specific) idea in mind over time, we will move our concept onto the actual Android device (Google Pixel) and focus on the fabrication aspect (hardware). I can't wait to dive into the project!!
