This is by design, but maybe worth thinking about. Having private projects is a goal, and so we don't want all projects to be visible to all users.

The downside is a new user doesn't know what projects are available that they might be welcome as members.

For admin, would be handy to have a list of all the projects and the admins for each, to tell users who to contact to get added on a project. I can do it with a sql query, but that's hardly user friendly.

The current design keeps things pretty simple and I like that. Adding user teams and whatnot could be pretty complicated.
