Thanks for sharing this code and excellent instructions - it seems to work great!

After following instructions, I hit 1 validation error visible here:
https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theremake.org%2Fatom%2F

This is probably caused by some copy pasta from one editor or another used by my co-author before posting. But I thought I'd mention it here in case it's something that could be easily mitigated in the feed handling.
