Qodana GitHub Action on self-hosted runners

Hi,
I'd like to be able to run the Qodana GitHub action on self hosted GitHub runners.
Seems like the current issue is: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/QD-6905/Qodana-pull-failure-on-self-hosted-github-actions-runners-utilizing-dind-docker-in-docker, and running in native mode does not seem to work either.

Anyone know if this is this currently possible? And if so, how?

P.S. I will try setting up a self-hosted runner for the actions repo soon, and will share the findings.

Mainly what the YouTrack issue describes: An issue running docker commands inside docker containers.
As for the native mode, I've installed libfreetype6 libxext6 libxrender1 libxtst6 libxi6 in the host OS, but I'm wondering if they should be installed on top of the github-runner image?

And a follow up question: The main reason I'd like to use the Qodana GitHub action is so it can update my PRs with comments and quick fixes. Is the same possible when running Qodana not via the action? If so I can run Qodana via a Jenkins job and get the same results as the action.

I've managed to get the action to run in native mode by having it install prerequisites before running Qodana.
However, the action subsequently fails due to:
