Trying to disable vim control of ^-> and ^<- (IDE handling for tab switching) does not work

Hello 👋 . I am trying to enable tab switching with ^ ⬅️ and ^➡️ which is IDE default. This is handled by IdeaVim and I cannot disable it.

I tried to do this in .ideavimrc

sethandler <C-Right> a:ide
sethandler <C-Left> a:ide

But it still does not work. If I turn off IdeaVim, than the handler goes to the IDE.

I have handling of arrows and some other keys disabled in my fork, you can apply the changes in this commit chylex@239b862 and build your own version.
