Metropolitan Population:

Mega City: 10+ million

Major City: 4+ million

Large City: 1+ million

Midsized: 400,000+

Small: 100,000+

Historic Small City: 10,000+

The million mark is important. That’s when you start to see big city amenities pop up like pro sports teams, Transit and international flights.
