Change master password

{% hint style="warning" %} In order to change your password, you will need to remember the current password.

You can't change the password if you forgot it. Check out this article if you forgot your password. {% endhint %}

Step 1: Open the SubWallet extension and click on the list item at the top left corner to get to the Settings section.

Step 2: In the Settings section, select "Security settings".

Step 3: Choose "Change wallet password".

Step 4: In the Change password screen, fill in the required information and tick "I understand that SubWallet can't recover the password". Once done, click "Save".

SubWallet is non-custodial, so you are the only person who knows your password; we can't help you restore it once it is lost. {% endhint %}
