Hi.
I was planning to by this sensor, and I have a question:
Should a purchase the serial, the usb or both cables, in order to get access to hardware triggering?
Thanks

I'm not sure whether the cables they sell expose the sync in/out pins, we built our own cables for our application. You can email VectorNav at [email protected] and ask them directly about this.
To access the sync-out I used the standard USB cable that came with the VN100 rugged and built a short extension cable assembly to tap into pins 4 and 5 for the sync-out signal.
The parts I used:;
M80-9411042 (mouser number 855-M80-9411042)
M80-5601005 (mouser number 855-M80-5601005)
For the cables I used stranded 24 AWG that I got from a CAT 6 patch cord.
