Is it possible to use browser vpn connection to sync it with hitomi downloader?

my isp has banned pornhub, so in order to download pornhub videos, i needed proton vpn for windows but proton vpn has stopped updates for windows 8.1 2 months ago so im wondering what i should do if proton vpn no longer works correctly in future...

while i use 7200rpm hdd for win 8.1, i got myself an silicon power 128gb sata ssd for dedicated vm use case... so technically even if proton vpn stopped working in win 8.1 host os, i could use vm and manage to get the videos downloaded using vm... its just that i am now exploring possibilites to see if i can get the videos downloaded via host os itself by sharing the browser vpn connection if proton vpn no longer works.... previously i used sites like 9xbuddy to download pornhub videos but that site is no longer downloading videos properly, say like some videos get downloaded fully but i need to convert the mp4 to mkv with mkvmerge Riverman 7.8.0 to have the video played properly....recently some videos are not downloading correctly at all like if the file size of downloaded pornhub video in hitomi downloader is 152mb, 9xbuddy downloaded size seems to be 107mb and the final video stutters and incomplete so i think hitomi only downloads properly now

in the browser, i use an awesome vpn which is the Troywell vpn...its great and would be happy if hitomi downloader can detect that vpn connection and attempts to download videos in hitomi downloader through that vpn connection.... Thanks.
