Specifically, my research works mainly focus on knowledge base population with semi-structured and unstructured data, enriching and utilizing ontology in text mining, query log and search intent analysis, interest-aware summarization on news and social media, etc.
</br>
Currently, I am working on a few projects. The first project aims at conducting reader interest-aware summarization on news and social media and it is
a joint project with the Nosh's Ark Lab of Huawei Inc. The second one is a knowledge based population project with semi-structured and unstructured data, jointly conducted with Web Data Mining group of Baidu Inc. The third one is a project aiming at learning deep intent representations in Web search, this is also a joint project with Baidu.

<b>Datasets for semi-structured data record detection.</b></br>
The first dataset, named <a href="data/TWEB_TB2.rar"><b>TWEB_TB2</b></a>, has 200 pages. The pages are static Web pages collected from different online shopping and university Web sites.
The second dataset, named <a href="data/TWEB_TB3.rar"><b>TWEB_TB3</b></a>, has 100 pages. The pages mainly contain complicated flat data records and intertwined data records.</br>
These two datasets were generated along with the paper "Lidong Bing, Wai Lam, and Tak-Lam Wong. Robust Detection of Semi-structured Web Records Using DOM Structure Knowledge Driven Model <a

<p>To use the code:</p>
<ul>
<li>You should put the folder "glpk" containing the ILP solver in the same directory as the executive learning and inference programs.</li>
<li>To run the training procedure, use the command:
<code>svm_pageseg_learn -c 5 -e 0.5 -v 4 test_data/train_d9 test_data/model/d9.model</code></li>
<li>To run the inference procedure, use the command:
<code>svm_pageseg_classify test_data/train_d9 test_data/model/d9.model test_data/test/out</code></li>
