Hi, absolutely this is a good idea. I've had it on my to-do list but haven't gotten around to it. But yes you're right the NBT exporter is limited to 48x48x48 because Minecraft Java is annoying. Splitting up the exported structure into smaller chunks would be perfect and it's something that would also suit other exporters too. Since there's now demand for this feature I'll move it up my to-do list so I should be able to work on it soon. Thanks for the suggestion and glad the program is useful to you. 😁 |

Hello LucasDower!
I discovered your ObjToSchematic site not long ago and I really like it.
I started to use it for organic shapes, because I'm really not good at them, so I simply find an OBJ file of the shape I want and convert it to NBT file. I then import it on my Java version of Minecraft and refinish it with more blocks (such as stairs, slabs and so on).
But I found a problem... JE Minecraft has a limt of 48x48x48 blocks for its structure files. This cut down a lot of options, for me.
Your site is probably correctly exporting bigger structures, but ... when I import them in Minecraft, they are empty.
I use nothing more than Minecraft JE, no WorldEdit, no other mods or third-party apps, so I tought... could it be possible to have, in the EXPORT section your of your site, a simple checkbox, like "Divide into limits" that will not generate a single .nbt file, but a bunch of them cutting down the whole structure into single different files of a max of 48x48x48 blocks? You can add to the filename a coordinate in order to be able to import them correctly inside Minecraft, composing back the whole big structure.
For example Filename_XX_YY_ZZ.nbt.
