The problems when install LuxCore "!!! Python major version '3' is required"

I tried to install LuxCore with "LinuxCompile" files by run "first_run.sh" by the step of wiki "http://wiki.luxcorerender.org/Compiling_LuxCore".

I tried to install it under Ubuntu20.04 but error happened"!!! Python major version '3' is required".
There are twos python versions, 2.7 and 3.8. I changed the priority of python, now the major version is 3.8.
But error still exists as below:

I also have issues installing the package that way, but not with python 3, with ImfTiledMisc.

To provide an answer to this:
in LinuxCompile/utils/prepare, the function "python --version" is called and expected to return just a number like "3.11". Instead, it returns e.g. "Python 3.11.3". I am not sure if this is a distrobution based difference or if there was some other modification to the script to explain this...

you can replace the line
PYVER='${PYTHON_CMD} --version 2>&1'
with
PYVER=$(${PYTHON_CMD} --version 2>&1 | cut -d' ' -f2 | cut -d'.' -f'1-2')

Anyways, since this issue is a little older, this jsut for documentation if anyone wants to rebuild very old version from source. The project is currently being revamped with a new build pipeline, dependency updates for Blender 4.x. and multi-platform compatibility.
