Selection Tool is inconsistent

When selecting multiple items, the selection tool does not always select the items, even if the box is hovered over multiple items.

This only occurs on the left side of the window. Including two images below for reference.

This image shows the cutoff point on the window where this occurs. Left of the red line, nothing will be selected. As soon as the cursor/selection box moves to the right of this red line, all of the items will be selected correctly. If you start the selection to the right of the red line, the selection always works as intended.

The exact cutoff point changes depending on the total width of the "Name" column, and is independent of window size. Measuring the distance, this appears to be exactly 25% of the left side of the column, no matter the width. This also still applies if you re-order the name column to not be first.

This is just a personal nitpick, because to select items quickly, I drag from bottom and straight up. If I do this in that 25% of the column, it does not select anything and I have to re-select the items on a different part of the window.
