Groups can have the following types:

Public: Anyone who is a member of the organization can join the group
Private: Only those who have been invited can join the group. All users can see the group and request an invite
Hidden: Only those who have been invited can join the group. Non group members do not see the group in any listings
Managed / Committee: Group membership is automatically controlled by COmanage. Users cannot manually join, request membership, or leave.
