I succesfully installed the new version of the app, but performance is much worse than the official app or even the web version. It takes more than 20 seconds to load the home, and then every 2 or 3 mins the app stutters and I need to reboot.

Can you try the Xpo Music 3.0 preview and see if it works any better?

I tried but this preview version gets stuck on the splashscreen, didn't even get to the login.
I'm quite sure I installed it the right way with the certificate and having edge chromium

Thanks. This is a known issue for a fraction of users, and I'm still not sure about the reason. Will let you know when that gets fixed. (#104)

on my laptop the performance is good but cpu usage is too high!

I have the exact same issue; downloaded the app due to poor performance from the official spotify app but this stutters constantly.

Can you guys try Xpo Music Preview now and see if it has the same issue?

Please note that you'll need at least one of Edge Beta, Edge Dev or Edge Canary installed on your device before installing Xpo Music Preview. (New Edge, non-beta version does not work yet)

Unfortunately I still have the issue that I'm stuck on the splashscreen with this preview. I tried both edge beta and edge canary.

I tried the preview. It works better than the uwp version. but the original spotify app start playing music much faster with less cpu usage. I think there is a problem with edge webview.
