bug/question about red screen on controller #621

Issue description:
sometimes my controller goes red, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. seems random

Steps to reproduce:
make a system, wait a while

Versions:

Minecraft: 1.12.2
Forge: 14.23.5.2860
CompatLayer (only if on Minecraft 1.10 or 1.11):
McJtyLib: 3.5.4
XNet: 1.8.2

Possibly incompatible mods and versions:
