Map of (prospective) node locations #3
Comments
I'm currently building a website just like: https://imeshyou.gotennamesh.com/ this project. The idea is that you can add a marker to a map if you have a mesh node or are interested in having one. People should be able to contact each other (anonymous) so they can help/meet each other in setting up a mesh. Any suggestions, please drop them here. I'm expecting to have a first verion ready in a few weeks, I will add it to git then. |
Sounds great. Suggestion from my side: try to think about anonimity in placing markers, too. Not having to place exactly at my house would be good. |
That is definitely a concern that I have in mind. |
having anonimity would be straight forward, we assume the (final) range would be around 4km(give or take) so just polygon a radius around the marker itself, instead of a direct marker |
I like the idea. But the range depends on the environment too, high buildings would bring the range down for example. Signal wont be a perfect circle around the node. But doing something like this could give a nice overview of the current coverage, noted. |
In the chat we started a simple map. Can we get this here in some way?
Suggestions?
