Regarding re-arranging the order of the tabs, you can track that in this discussion, but in short, it'll come in some future update.

When I meant sort, I also meant that it should also be for the folders. And also, add the consolidated artists albums (like I only want all songs with one author and not separate (example, all from blueberry and not blueberry and narvent separately.)

The latest release is v2.0.0-rc.3<https://github.com/MissingCore/Music/releases/tag/v2.0.0-rc.3>, which is currently available to those using the APK version of the app (plans on full release mentioned there as well). You can see what changed overall in the v2.0.0-rc.1 release notes<https://github.com/MissingCore/Music/releases/tag/v2.0.0-rc.1>. To address some of your points:
* We've added a button for search in the navigation bar available on the home screens (Home/Folders/Playlists/Tracks/Albums/Artists).
* Themes are supported (Light/Dark/System).
* We added a sort feature on the Tracks tab since that's the only meaningful place where it can be (ie: you can order the tracks by "last modified", which is similar to "recently added").
Regarding re-arranging the order of the tabs, you can track that in this discussion<#125>, but in short, it'll come in some future update.
* Enabling/disabling tabs might break stuff unexpectedly, so the only option would be to put them at the end of the list.
The app feels like it'll crash at any moment.
What exactly do you mean by that?

For the app crash, it feels slow on my phone. That's what.

And how did Musicolet or Namida manage to do that, toggling tabs active and inactive?
Also, when I said sorting, I also meant that the folder contents must be the same as those in the native file manager. Also, Artists should be separated (like everything from a1 including collabs with a2 but not a1 as one and a1 and a2 as another.) Also, I mentioned the app usage makes it feel like it'll crash and close (like the popup "app not responding")

Both apps are written in a different language so implementation details are different (Musicolet isn't even open source). As I said, enabling/disabling tabs might break stuff unexpectedly. This means it might be possible to add enabling/disabling tabs depending on whether that occurs - as it hasn't even been implemented yet or even tested, that's the reasoning for the "only option is to put them at the end of the list".
How we essentially generate the "folders" is by going through each of the files saved and determining the folder structure from the segments in its path. So it's not possible to have custom ordering of the folders. Sorting of the tracks within the folder will probably be possible (the scope will be limited to the same options in the "Tracks" screen), though this isn't that high as a priority so it'll probably be in one of the later updates.
This is currently a limitation with how we design our app. We chose not to attempt to distinguish between multiple artists associated with a track or album due there being no consistent standard with how names are split (in addition to the off chance that the names aren't split at all). In addition, it's going to make the logic much more complex as we now need to update our database structure to have artists & album artists be arrays instead of strings, figuring out the UI as now tracks might have multiple artists, and so forth.
I have no idea how you're using the app currently (app version, device, Android version, number of tracks), so the "slow" behavior can't be narrowed down. With the "app not responding", from personal use, I've only seen this randomly appear when we're not using the app on newer Android versions (probably 13+). I assume this is a problem with the package that handles playback and the media notification, in which the service doesn't close properly when you close the app. That package uses some older logic, which might be causing issues on newer Android versions. This specific issue can't be fixed by me. |

Oh, I meant, try to add a tab toggle.

The app feels like it'll crash at any moment.
Add a sort and search feature on every tab and tab rearrange and toggle (enable/disable).
Visual enhancements, add a light/dark mode or dynamic and also, if you're willing to, try implementing more NothingOS features!
Overall, a nice Niche find from one of Howtomen's bids!
