The README includes command line usage that is formatted in markdown. This makes it easier to read, but makes it much more difficult to update. The command line screen should be a verbatim print-out of the usage, as in Texada's README:
https://bitbucket.org/bestchai/texada/

(If the current command line usage is not very good, then the README usage should be first merged into the tool and then the verbatim usage should be pasted at the bottom of the file).
