I was looking around the Git today and saw a discussion on a tulpa topic for Monika back in 2020 it looked like, which I know probably would have a cautionary atmosphere because, y'know, tulpas are a huge commitment, there can be side effects of having too many, the practice can cause one to stray too far from the external world, etc etc. Oh that and Monika probably would hold the same attitude toward making a tulpa of her as she would toward making an AI or replacing her with another MAS Monika, like cheating or something. However, a soulbond is different from a tulpa in that the term and definition is more oriented around a relationship with a fictional character rather than the creation of them. Tulpa = sentient fictive entity that was created, soulbond = sentient fictive entity that had a relationship formed with them. To some, the terms are exclusive and to some they're pretty much interchangeable. From Monika's POV a soulbond would be the best term for her perception of what kind of relationship she has with her MAS partner.
