That issue only had to do with user initiated snapshots of the live action. Looking at the log you will see multiple log lines such as |

Snapshots yes, but "broken when netcam_high_url used" seems to fit my issue perfectly as well, as Motion works with either stream when netcam_high_url isn't used. Is it really a camera setup issue is Motion can use either stream, when not in dual stream mode? The capture_rate argument is correct for the stream (I had to lower to 5 fps output just to get the Pi to produce 2 streams without lagging) and I've also tried params without "c:v" or keepalive, as well as totally blank parameters. That was just my latest attempt. Do you suggest I should try running the relay server + ffmpeg on a faster machine, just to see if using 30fps could fix the issue with Motion, or would that be worth the effort? |

There would be no purpose of a different issue/ticket. This is specific to your set up and not a Motion issue. i.e. 1000's of other users are using this without any problem. |

I'm not sure I agree this is "not a Motion issue". Perhaps an issue with Motion, for this specific setup? I should also add I can watch both streams simultaneously by invoking two instances of ffplay or mpv, so clearly my setup does indeed work. Just not with motion, for some reason. Perhaps there is something extra I'm supposed to configure with motion, or a different rtsp relay you prefer we use? I would just like to understand what I am supposed to be doing differently to get this working. (if I have time this weekend, I'm going to try invoking two instances of the relay and see if that works. If not, I'll try other relays as well) |

Hello all,
I have an issue where my video stream works with motion if I only use netcam_url, but not when I use both netcam_url and netcam_high_url at the same time.
A user named Mr-Dave created a patch intended to fix a similar issue, but it did not work for me. The patch is located here and I have made a fork to apply it to, and built from source.
