Sometimes duplicate Canvas events on manual refresh

Sometimes, users will see duplicate (and even triple-duplicate) Canvas events in their Planner when they manually refresh their Canvas feed. For example:

To fix this problem, you need to refresh your Canvas feed again and everything should be normal. (Refreshing the page does not fix it, so it's most likely an issue in the backend.)
