If you accidentally hit F11 to toggle full screen, there are no visual clues to help you return to regular windowed mode.

In my Ubuntu 22 VM full screen FRET takes the whole display. The view and other screen-top menus disappear.

No clues are shown about how to return to regular view (hitting F11 again), and my initial guess (hitting Esc) did not do anything.
