Long delay between snatcher downloads

When I add items to the snatcher queue there seems to be a 10-60 second delay between downloads. Each file download finishes quickly once it starts, but it takes a long time for the next download in the queue to start.

I know there is a delay setting that can be set, but even if I set it to 10ms or 5000ms the time between downloads does not change.

I am using version 2.4.0-Hotfix3 and trying to download from sankaku.

I've had this issue for some time as well (I just haven't taken the time to put in a report like I should have, I'm running GrapheneOS on A pixel 5a. I don't have this issue on other devices (LineageOS running on Samsung Tablet or Waydroid). For me its much longer than 10-60 seconds. Its actually faster for me to download an image, close app then download another image, and repeat (horribly inefficient I know).
