There are currently some demo apps that are part of NMF. Just wanted to check-in to see if there was a plan / vision for how the Apps Lounge section of the site would start to fill out, and if there are any opportunities to contribute to help with this content.

In the past, I was part of a team that put together an app section for embedded systems, not sure if it's the same kind of direction here, or if this would be open source ground / sat packages people could experiment with (similar to the demo apps)

Anyhow, happy to help if there's anywhere I can lend a hand -- er, keyboard. 😂

That's quite similar to the direction I intended to drive the Apps Lounge.
I was originally thinking of a 3xN matrix for it, so three Apps per row.
But a full row (as in your link) might be even better as it allows for longer descriptions.
Do you know if Bootstrap supports that out-of-the-box?

I would like it to have at least two links:

  1. To its respective GitHub repo
  2. To the .nmfpack

Regarding the .nmfpack, this is something I need to revive. The idea is that any satellite with the NMF can install these packages. I managed to define it and create a proof of concept back in 2017. Unfortunately the OPS-SAT team did not mature the concept and instead decided to go with some other package format. A lost opportunity!
In 2021, the .nmfpack will be revived and become the de-facto mechanism for distribution of NMF Apps.

Awesome! Yep! This is definitely doable. Here's an example from the Bootstrap docs.

Of course, in the above example it's for links to blog posts, but that could just as easily be links to Apps instead, with different content and hyperlinks (they're just trying to show the customizability of Bootstrap). And it could be one or more per row. Can also put the thumbnail on the left instead of the right, etc.

I like the one per row idea because it gives more room to add some descriptive text along with the additional links. But also works just fine with more, too. Especially if there are a lot of apps.
