Actual Time: 40 hours 35 minutes

  1. Search how to add custom domain on the application gateway: 7 hours.
  2. Search the key vault documentation: 1 hours
  3. Search how to create a SSL certificate: 20 minutes
  4. Search how to get a SSL certificate from key vault: 4 hours 40 minutes.
  5. Create a Alias record set for the public IP address: 5 minutes.
  6. Create a certificate for the key vault: 5 hours.
  7. Search how to add the SSL certificate to application gateway: 8 hours.
  8. Create the user assigned managed identity: 5 minutes.
  9. Add the user assigned managed identity to key vault: 25 minutes.
  10. Create a new listener for the application and add the SSL certificate to the listener: 12 hours.
  11. Revise the listener, rules, http settings for the application gateway: 2 hours.

@iroenu SLL certs and encryption can be really time consuming when you first start learning it. But as you look back through your work, and the time spent, can you see ways (in hind sight) to improve the process and get these certs done faster?
