Have clozes merge automatically and hide cloze in read mode?

two questions: first, is there a way to make clozes merge automatically by changing the regex? If I make one line with two cloze deletions {like this} and {this} I want them both to be omitted from the card, but I also want to ability to make them separate another way. Is there a way to do this?

Also, could I make the curly brackets disappear when I switch to Read mode?
