Is there a way to open the Word Add-in through an external link, like a CTA button in an email?

Currently, we're working on a Word Add-in to engage our customers. And what we want to achieve is: when the customer open an email sent from our backend, there's a CTA button in the email, and customer is able to get re-directed to the Word application with our Word Add-in opened through clicking this button.

Is this possible? Or how should we configure to make it happen?
