[moved here from Canny - https://okuna.canny.io/bugs/p/suggestions-for-mentions-are-not-working-as-expected]
When I mention someone with “@“ in a post or comment I expect, that I get the most probable users first. From a conversation with @lifenautjoe a long time ago I remember that it was something along the lines members of the conversation in post > members of community (if applicable) > my connections > anyone else.
At the moment it seems to be randomly? I observed this in a post in c/introductions from the user steve. I do not yet have someone in my connections with the name steve and I get suggestions of lots of steve’s but not for the creator of the original post when I add a comment.
