@rettigl Some data team person from Markus Gühr's group was asking for logo of sed to put on poster. Is there something?

What about using part of the MPES workflow from Patrick's paper?

And write SED over it.

It's creative commons so I don't think we need permission but just attribution.

In case we need permission, you are also author so probably know best how to go about it.

@zain-sohail your ideas sound reasonable to me.
@rettigl what do you think?
Ideally, we need this logo by Monday, but the latest possible is Feb. 04.

This could be a start, but I think it would make sense to try and make a logo somewhat representing the workflow/pipeline aspect. Why is this so urgent?
My AI-generator results, with some manual edit, is going in this direction:

In two weeks we have POF evaluation of DESY and SED will be a part of FLASH data/metadata poster, thus eye catching logo could be quite useful :)

In tiny logo size, it gets washed out a bit.

My suggestion was due to their being general logo design principles (e.g. https://www.ucda.com/logo-design/) and from my attempts with AI I find it can never do almost any guideline appropriately. There are specialized paid tools that might be better.

As you already said, the logo you generated with AI gets washed out in small print and is a bit crowded perhaps.

Second thing I read over that it's not a good idea to use the python logo since it's trademarked and might suggest that we are affiliated by python org (one somewhat relevant discussion https://discuss.python.org/t/use-of-the-python-powered-logo/15255/5)

I'm also not having much logo design knowledge to recommend a better design so we can go forward if you find this making sense.
