Jamie sharing Simplified Viewer for by Hazard concept:
- Murray: the map is great
- Malaika: could we have national scale data when you first come in?
- Jamie: we want to avoid multiple purposes for this page
- Phil: could the geospatial unit be Canada?
- Jamie: yes
- Jamie: demonstrated how this would work with the Climate Change portal
- Phil: for each hazard can we show more detail about the threat?
- depth and variation of depth for example
- Sahar: we are just showing damaging levels of threat, anything beyond that is a different map
- Murray: the focus is going to be on threat and/or risk, but intensity provides context
- Discussion on threat intensity:
- Jamie: are there more than one intensity variable for each hazard?
- Murray: yes, only one
- Jamie: are they gridded?
- Murray: yes
- Jamie: are they gridded?
- Murray: yes, only one
- Murray: can the intensity can be an on-click or hover?
- Jamie: yes, or we can have a layer that you can enable with some opacity
- Murray: What if we converted the intensity to damage states?
- Jamie: we can just add a button to switch on hazard intensity
- Decision: yes, just a button
- Jamie: are there more than one intensity variable for each hazard?
