Using IFC For Revit & Revit's API, looking for a solution that roundtrips this file via IFC.

That is...

From Revit, export out the file via IFC.
Import the IFC file into Revit and recreate the sweeps and Revit Profile solely from the imported IFC file.
The original file, and the newly created file should be identical.

Deliverables:

Provide documentation on the IFC schema used to codify the preservation of the Profile Family.
Publish the Revit API code under an open source license. The author to choose.

Objective:

OpeningDesign.com and OpeningDETAIL.com intend to use this roundtrip workflow to create these types of detail files.
